Saxifragaceae is a family of flowering plants that varies between annuals, biennials, evergreen and herbaceous perennials. Difficult to pin down their uniqueness. There are about 35 genera in the family. More popular genera include Astilbe, of False goat’s beard with it’s very colourful fluffy spikes.
